History 

 

1984 Establishment of Wimmer Hartstahl GmbH &CO KG by the engineer Alois Wimmer. Initially, the company offered bucket and drive repair services and manufactured digging tools.  

 

 

 

 

1985 Invention and market launch of the hydraulic A-Lock quick-coupling system as a first step in the development of a complete component concept for hydraulic excavators. 

 

 

 

 

1988 Relocation to the new production premises in Thalgau, resulting in the increase of the company's production capacity.

 

 

 

 

1989, Establishment of Wimmer Felstechnik; extension of product portfolio by demolition tools, drill guide attachments and line drilling units. WIMMER operates as a provider of a complete solution range for hydraulic excavators.

 

 

 

 

1993 Establishment of 100% subsidiary WIMMER Felstechnik in České Budějovice, Czech Republic (today operating as WIMMER International CZ s.l.r.). This subsidiary manufactures primarily machined small parts.

 

 

 

 

1995  ISO 9001 certification.

 

 

 

 

1996 Establishment of Wimmer Canada Inc. in Montreal, acting today as the main sales office for the US states along the East Coast.

 

 

 

 

2001 Extension/reconstruction of office building and construction of a multimedia training centre.

 

 

 

 

2004 Market launch of the A-Lock Oilmatic, the first fully automated quick-coupling system produced in Central Europe. Construction of a new additional hall for rented equipment and service department

 

 

 

 

2005 Upgrading of Czech factory and construction of a new production hall. Official opening of conference centre in Rannberg.

 

 

 

 

2006 Wimmer Hartstahl is rated the best family-owned employer in the district of Salzburg.

 

 

 

 

2008 Launch of Oilmaxx, an advanced fully automated quick-coupling system. Development of Tiltator rotation and tilt adapter.

 

 

 

 

2010 Extension of office building. WIMMER becomes the general sales and service partner for KLEMM deep drilling machines covering Austria and Trentino-Alto Adige/Italy. WIMMER now also acts as the general sales partner for Sunward compact excavators in Austria.
