Giant bucket for Switzerland

Holcim trusts in Wimmer tools

Last January one of the biggest ever “WIMMER made” buckets was delivered to Switzerland. It was designed for a Komatsu PC 1250 excavator, the customer is Holcim Switzerland, a company, which produces gravel, cement and concrete.

The content of 6700 litres SAE makes this bucket a class 7.0 model (according to A-Lock classification). The 7,8 tons heavy tool is equipped with special tracks for handling a 9 ton steel bowl. This is used for breaking limestone boulders, when thrown down from great hight. The width of the bucket is 2280 millimeters, the teeth are V71 from Esco.
